Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, Greater Kruger
This picturesque, historic camp overlooking the river line was the first lodge constructed in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve (‘KPNR’), Greater Kruger, and dates from the 1930’s. Despite the lodge being updated with modern amenities such as fans, a pool , wifi and solar power for guest comfort, this lodge retains a wonderful ‘old school’ and pioneer camp spirit.
The KPNR hosts the big 5 and a myriad of other species making for informative and often exciting experiences on safari, it is is part of the Greater Kruger biosphere and as such no fences separate it from the Kruger National Park.

This lodge is used on an exclusive use basis. Only one party is hosted at any one time with a private guide and safari vehicle. It is important to us at Wild Legacy Safaris that our guests have the freedom to luxuriate in and experience the true peace of Africa, completely undisturbed. This also allows us to tailor our bush experiences to the special interests of the group. Safari activities can be more about slowing down and connecting with nature, often on foot, following in the steps of giants like elephants or buffalo, or trailing magnificent cats like lion and leopard, and not focused solely on ticking off sightings.
"kruger-style"
Guests are hosted in comfortable “Kruger- style” thatch rondawels, and there is also one large family style bungalow with two bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Our rate includes two safari activities per day, consisting of either game drives, walking safaris, tracking, bird watching and the like. Bush breakfasts, sunset picnics and other activities are available on request, please enquire for pricing. Packages are offered on a self-catered or catered basis.

Catered rate includes 3 meals per day, game drive snacks and purified water, as well as coffee and a selection of teas, soft drinks, local beers, and local wines.
- SELF CATERED PACKAGE
Self-catered rates exclude all meals, tea, coffee, beverages, and snacks, includes purified water.
Note: arrangements may be made for self-catering guest food and beverage orders to be made locally in Hoedspruit at guests cost and collected by the lodge prior to the guest’s arrival, at an additional fee.

Transfers to/from the lodge are excluded in our pricing but we are available to assist our guests with any necessary transfer bookings with local service providers.
